There is LOTS of information in this post so please read thoroughly.

First, it was brought to my attention by our wonderful custodian Isaac that today was the second time he had to clean urine out of the garbage can in our bathroom. I was very disappointed to hear this news, as I hope most of you are. Friends, we are in grade 7. Almost teenagers, almost high school students. You know better. The garbage can has been removed from the bathroom for the time being, any waste needs to be brought out to the can near the door. Parents, if I could please ask that you have a quick chat with your child about appropriate behaviour? Thanks in advance. We, as a class, will be talking about it tomorrow morning.

Today, we began writing the FSAs for this year. I applaud the students for their focus and effort, as we spent basically the entire morning on them. At this rate we’ll finish quickly and be able to move on.

Today marks the beginning of our observance of Remembrance Day. I already explained to the class (those that were listening anyways), that this day is very important to me, as my cousin was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2008. We are very fortunate to live in a country that values peace and free will, and should be thankful to those that choose to stand on the front lines to protect those freedoms. Our Remembrance Day Assembly is on Thursday at 11am if you would like to attend.

Lastly, thank you thank you thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to drive on Wednesday. As of this morning, we have enough! Yay!!! I will be emailing you tomorrow with final details.
