What a great day!

Students spent the morning reading about and creating a one-pager about a current Canadian Forces operation, which we then created a display in the hallway.

After recess we had our Remembrance Day Assembly. It was a very powerful and meaningful assembly and I’m very proud of the way Div 3 comported themselves. Here is the collaborative art piece we made to hang in the gym.

After a tasty hot lunch we split off for ADST- the 7s trucked along with Young Entrepreneurs and the 6s did some photography work.

Grade 7 families- you should have received an email from me with some reminders.

I am still looking for a few drivers for next week’s field trip. I currently have enough for half the class. On Monday I will make the decision to cancel, I will need to give the facility enough notice. Thank you to those that have gotten back to me.

What a stunning day!

At lot of our focus today was on Remembrance Day- I shared that my cousin Chad was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2008, so Remembrance Day is very important to me and my family. We did some French reading about why we wear a poppy and what ceremonies look like, then switched for Math- 6s are working on PGFC and 7s on operations with integers. After recess, we created a collaborative art piece to hang at our assembly on Friday.
