Les Devoirs:
À demain!
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful break, there were lots of fun things that got shared out this morning 🙂 We made a 1-word about your spring break collage.
The next 2 weeks are short ones due to the Easter Holiday. Friday and Monday are days off, kind of a nice way to ease into term 3.
À demain!
Exhale… I have returned. It has been a whirlwind week for me, not a lot of positive unfortunately. Thank you all for your patience as I dealt with illness and some family matters the last few days.
Today was… busy. But very fruitful. After recess, we learned about how supersavers were invented, and then build our own simple hydyraulic machines. On Friday we will spend a bit more time with them. It was fun to finally use the Makerspace cart that the district put together for all elementary schools feeding into WGSS.

After lunch, we went to the gym to watch the grade 5/6 finalists present their speeches for Concours. The top two grade 5s were awarded a prize, and the top four grade 6s were selected to continue to the district level on April 9. As well, the 2 grade 7s from our class were named to continue on. Un énorme bravo à Darcy, Arjun, Teodora et Annika! Bonne chance le 9 avril!
Friday is Matching Day and Hot Lunch. The Soo-permarché will also be open.
Bonne journée demain, à vendredi!

It has been wonderful meeting with all of you for SICs, the students are doing an incredible job sharing all about their learning and growth and should be proud of themselves! we’ve also had some good conversations about being our best selves and how we can achieve that. Looking forward to meeting with the rest of you this week. Let’s have a great final week before Spring Break!
Demain- Orchestre
What a productive day!
Our morning was full of self-reflecting and goal setting in preparation for SICs.
This afternoon, Constable Cormier, our School Liaison Officer came to chat with both French 6/7 classes. Her message was very positive, but there were many takeaways:
Then the students asked her lots of different questions, mainly about her job as a police officer. Hopefully they all took something positive away that they can apply to their lives.
Reminder for the rest of the week:
À demain!
Please copy and paste these questions into Spaces –> Espace Mathematique, then answer to your best ability. You will share these during your conference.
Welcome to March! 2 more weeks til Spring Break, woohoo!
We have officially had everyone present their speech! I am super proud of everyone’s hard work and commitment to the process. You all showed up, did your best and in turn, asked your peers some great questions. Bravo!
This week is SIC prep mode! Tomorrow we will be doing all of our self-reflections so that we have lots to share when you come on Wednesday or Thursday. I may not have made it clear, but I (Mme Soo) will once again be at both days of conferences. Mme Huard and I have switched our days again, so she will be in on Friday.
Reminder that Friday is the French Film Festival at Landmark Cinemas in Surrey. I emailed anyone who has yet to pay earlier today. We are also looking for a couple parent volunteers to join us (and watch the movie), please email me if you’re available and interested!
