Welcome to the last week of the school year!!!!

Today was a busy day! The WGSS grads showed up for their grad walk, it was lovely to see so many former students. Thanks to Div 3 for being good sports while the chalet was taken over by them.

After recess, the grade 7s headed tot he gym to begin decorating for Farewell- there are some really good looking things being made!

After lunch, the 6s stayed in the chalet and tried out block coding with sphero, and were able to watch the first 30ish minutes of the France vs Iraq match.

The plan for tomorrow:

  • Grade 7s- first block-finish decorating, then rehearse
  • Grade 6s- first 2 blocks in Mme Gaudet’s room
  • Afternoon- all back in chalet for clean up/pack up/Economy final wrap up

Please send a reusable bag to school tomorrow to carry all the supplies and materials.

Happy third to last Friday of the school year!

We were busy again today, PE, listened to Icare, qui volait trop proche au soleil, did some math and did some more work on story structure.

To end the day, the class was introduced to Sphero!

Spero is a mini codeable robot that we will be exploring more of over the next couple of weeks. It was fun to see the different groups draw coding and driving their spheros around 🙂

Monday is our year end field trip to the waterpark. Please ensure you have completed the payment and permission on SchoolCashOnline, I will be following up soon with any missing students.

As per the notice that was emailed home:

Triple 0s is available to purchase, but the line can get quite long, keep that in mind. We will be taking a bus to and from, students will find out on which bus they are Monday morning. Any questions, let me know!

Next Friday is Sports Day!

Bonne fin de semaine!

We have fully entered into our last learning objectives of the school year! In both English and French, we will be exploring short stories/myths, their structure, characteristics, character development etc. Today we listened to Prométhée in French and filled out a character web, and listened an episode of Greeking Out, a fantastic National Geographic podcast all about mythology. This is in connection to grade 7s Sciences Humaines on Ancient Civilizations.

Tomorrow and Friday should be regularly scheduled days.

Please complete payment and permission for Waterpark on Monday!

Please see yesterday’s post for the complete list of important June dates.
