Well, that’s a wrap. Together, we made it though the craziest school year EVER. Les amis, you should be SO proud of everything you have accomplished this year, parents- even more so! Mme Kloosterhof and I are so grateful for all your support and hard work behind the scenes. You have incredible children that we were able to spend each day with. They are going to continue doing great things!

Farewell went great this morning! We are excited to send out the recorded video for your viewing pleasure. Mrs Shimmin took photos of all the kids that she’ll be sending off to you (I think? Or maybe I am? TBD…) There is also the baby slide show, the ‘Over the years’ slideshow, and the teachers “Farewell Speech” video 😀

Thank you all for the very generous and thoughtful gifts. Mme Kloosterhof and I are so grateful at all of your thoughtfulness.

We wish you all the best summer and a smooth transition into high school (or middle) as the next chapter of your journey begins. The chalet door is always open for you to come and visit 🙂

Felicitations et bravo les amis! À la prochaine ❤

Plan for Tomorrow

Good afternoon families, hope you are surviving,

Just wanting to provide an update for tomorrow, as we have just received new information regarding tomorrow’s schedule.

The district has now said that dismissal will be 2 hours after start time. That means we are probably looking at a 10:55 dismissal tomorrow morning (unconfirmed at this point, you’ll hear from Mrs Simonetto soon).

The most current plan is to have the ceremony, which will be recorded and sent out to families afterwards, we have a couple videos to watch, we also need to clean out all of our supplies and materials (please send an extra bag or 2!), and we’ll end with yearbooks and yumyums. I won’t be closing my door and kicking anyone out at the dismissal bell, being rushed is the worst feeling. We’ll get everything done, we’ll enjoy each other’s company all together one last time, and then walk off into summer sun towards a well-deserved summer break.

Thank you families for your continued support and understanding in this crazy, unprecedented time. It’s not what anyone wanted or imagined. Everyone has been so flexible and adaptable and I am so appreciative of that.

Take care, à demain.

What a scorcher today! So thankful to be in a climate controlled space 🙂

Thanks and congratulations to Lauren for all her hard work on her Periodic Table Extension Project, and for sharing her knowledge with us today 🙂

This afternoon we did La Vente aux Enchères– très successful! Everything sold, all the money has been exchanged- fun had. Thanks to everyone who brought/sent items in, there were many lots up for bid.

Monday is going to be even hotter than today. The plan is to do La Grande Ménage (bring extra bags to take all your stuff home!), get outside at some point, turn the water on and have some fun- I have a sprinkler, I have a tarp, there are many fun things we can do. Please dress and prepare accordingly for a very, very, very hot day. And don’t forget, we also have Farewell that evening… which will also be hot. We don’t want to be overdoing it during the day so we are burnt out for later.

Please see the email sent home that has the Farewell schedule in it. We are eating dinner after the ceremony, so make sure you have a snack before arriving at Farewell. We will have LOTS of cold water on hand to stay hydrated.

That reminds me, and I will remind you on Monday, PARENTS, would you mind please bringing a bag of ice when you drop your child off for farewell? We will distribute them around the different coolers and bins throughout the evening.

Have an amazing weekend, the end is nigh!

À lundi!
